Wednesday is new issue day!

we ask that you maintain a list of at least five ongoing series which you are committing to purchase each new issue of.  If/when one of those series ends, please let us know of a different title you'd like to start.  You can add, subtract, or swap out titles, so long as you maintain a list of at least five (though of course it can be more!)

requests of any sort can be made in person at the shop, by calling or texting (760-636-6711), or by DM-ing us thru Instagram.

unless you tell us otherwise, we will secure you the main/A cover.  If you would like a variant cover, just let us know!  You can see images of available covers at the links below (in the next bullet item).  When requesting specific covers for titles on your Pull List, please let us know if you would like that variant cover instead of or in addition to the Main Cover.  AND LET US KNOW BOTH THE LETTER OF THE COVER (COVER B, F, OR WHATEVER) AS WELL AS THE ARTIST OR OTHER IDENTIFIER ("Peach Momoko," "THE GLOW-IN-THE-DARK" COVER, "MUPPET HOMAGE" VARIANT, ETC.).  Be aware that sometimes variant covers are more expensive.

with any request, please be mindful of the F.O.C. (Final Order Cutoff).  It's usually anywhere from 3-8 weeks before an issue's release date.  If you order by the Friday before the FOC (when we generally put in our orders), you are guaranteed the issue and cover and quantity you want.  After that date, we will do our best but the item may have already sold out (and our job of trying to secure you that item becomes much more labor-intensive).  FOCs can be found either through our distributors (Penguin for Marvel and some indies, Lunar for DC and other indies).  Some folks also check League Of Comic Geeks, though sometimes their info isn't accurate.  you can of course request back issues too, and we will order them if available.

You are welcome to make other kinds of special requests too, for example, any cover done by a particular artist, or any cover of a themed series of covers that crosses over multiple titles.  Though please be aware that you will be expcted to purchase whatever you request, so if you request "Any cover with Superman on it," we will order you EVERY COVER WITH SUPERMAN ON IT (no matter the title), which will add up pretty quickly, and you will be expected to purchase them all.

When you request an item, we do our ordering basED ON that REQUEST, so we do expect you to complete that purchase.  You are not permitted to make a request then decide later that you don't want it.

We ask that you clear out your pull at least every three weeks.  When your pull starts stacking up, we'll text you a request to pick it up.  If those requests go unheeded, we reserve the right to disolve your pull membership.  Though if you need some extra time (perhaps you're a snowbird or sunbird), just let us know and we're happy to accommodate!

When it's your birthday month, please remind us when making purchases to make sure you get your 20% discount instead of your normal 10%!

FOR HIGHER-COST ITEMS YOU MIGHT REQUEST (SAY, A $100 OMNIBUS), WE MAY ASK THAT YOU PAY IN ADVANCE.

Please keep in mind that being a COmic Asylum Lunatic grants you the highest possible human status, so please wield it with modesty and humility.  You are now among the most elite class of people in the galaxy.
